A COMMUNITY event to raise funds for two burglary victims has been hailed as a great success by the organiser.
Cheska Adams along with her husband Rik, decided to plan a family disco to help her friends Spencer and Kay Stamp who run the Fuse gaming store in Dovercourt High Street after they were targeted by burglars last month.
The night included a bumper 39 raffle prizes donated by local people and businesses and raised more than £400 for the couple during the party last Friday at Harwich and Parkeston Football Club.
Mrs Adams was delighted with how the evening went.
“Everything went as smoothly as possible, it all ran perfectly and everyone had a fantastic time.
“Harwich and Parkeston Football Club let us use the hall for free and everybody we asked to donate raffle prizes did so it all went well."
