A CANCER victim’s friend has conquered his fear of heights to climb over the huge roof of the O2 area.
Neil Howell, of Stour Road, Harwich, walked across the top of the 200ft-high famous venue to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust.
Neil’s friend, who he did not want to name, is in her early 20s and has just gone into remission from acute lymphatic cancer.
He completed the terrifying task on his 44th birthday.
He said: “I was glad to get back down – that is for sure.
“It was scary going up – I have no idea how long it took us to get up there.
“I was absolutely terrifying. When I got to the top it was amazing."
