STUDENTS from Harwich and Dovercourt High School have received their bronze Duke of Edinburgh awards.
The 18 pupils who took part went to Colchester Townhouse along with other youngsters in Tendring who had achieved the award.
Students had to show their expertise in volunteering, skill, physical and expedition sections in order to get their prize and teacher Sophie Southgate is proud of their achievements.
“Each pupil has given their in the community and have helped local nurseries, sports clubs and charity shops.
“They have taken on more responsibilities and they have all worked hard and come across many challenges along the way.”
