A CHARITY run community hub is set to get much-needed structural repairs to keep it going.
The Luney Club, which took over the former Royal British Legion building on Barrack Lane in Harwich, has been given a new 24 year lease by landlord Tendring Council.
It means the site, which is home to a number of community and charity groups, will stay open and get a refurbishment.
Ron Mitchell, trustee of the club which supports elderly and sick residents, said: “The building is in a poor state.
“We have plans, which the council would have to agree, to tidy it up a bit."
