AN EYESORE town centre site could become home to a three-storey supported living complex with a seperate unit for adults with learning disabilities.
The former hospital ground on Main Road, Dovercourt has been derelict since the disused building was demolished in 2006 when the new Fryatt Hospital opened.
Despite previous planning applications having been put forward, a new bid has been put to Tendring Council’s planning department for 48 single bedroom and 12 two bedroom extra care apartments.
Jo Henderson, Harwich Town and Tendring councillor for west central ward, welcomed the plans as an end to the town grotspot.
