CHILDREN put their backs into charity work by supporting ITV’s Text Santa appeal.
Youngsters from Spring Meadow Primary School in Dovercourt spent a day at Morrisons supermarket in the town bag packing.
Teacher Emma Donegan, who co-ordinated the event, said: “Morrisons said a big thank you to their customers for their generosity and extended their thanks to the pupils of Spring Meadow Primary School who entertained shoppers with their carol Singing and worked hard at the tills packing bags.
“Together we raised a total of £557.33, which will be going to the Text Santa Appeal which supports – Age UK, Barnardos, Beat Bullying, British Heart Foundation, CLIC Sargent, Help the Hospices.”
Text Santa is ITV’s annual charity fundraiser appeal that runs over three months of the festive season.
