PLANES have been grounded at a model flying club after they lost the lease on their rented airstrip.

The Oakley Model Flying Club used to meet and fly at a privately owned field in Little Oakley.

But after losing the land they are unable to fly.

Stephen Oliver, chairman, said: “We are desperately looking for another site to start using this month.”

The club, which currently has members from 12-years-old to those in their 80s, is for hobby model aircraft ranging from gliders to electric and petrol motors.

Anyone able to help should contact Mr Oliver on 01206 303843.
