THE chief executive of Harwich Haven Authority has stepped down after ten years at the helm.
Stephen Bracewell has decided to call it a day just weeks after the authority’s 150th anniversary celebrations.
They have also recently completed an £8million, five-year project to upgrade the Vessel Traffic Services centre and computer networks as well as delivering four new pilot launches and a survey launch.
The harbour also welcomed the world’s largest container ship, the Majestic Maersk in October proving they have acceptable infrastructure and deep water access to house even the biggest vessels.
Mr Bracewell believes he is leaving the organisation in good stead.
“It has been a challenging and rewarding decade for me and I am proud to be leaving the Authority in good hands for whatever the future holds,” he said.
