RESIDENTS are demanding action over a “dangerous” derelict building in Harwich left for almost two years after a blaze.
Peter Hadley owns Harwich Old Books, just yards away from 20 Market Street which was gutted by a fire in April 2012.
“It is dangerous with things falling off,” he said.
Harwich Town Council now wants Tendring Council to take action at the privately-owned property, which lies in a conservation area.
Town councillor David Flavell said: "They have a duty of care in their conservation area."
Tendring Council is working with the landlord of the property to decide the best course of action.
