AN MP has waded in on an argument over a bus service which is said to be making children feel “crowded” and “uncomfortable” while travelling to school.

Harwich and North Essex MP Bernard Jenkin has written to Essex County Council over the 103 and 104 services which run between Harwich and Colchester.

In December Elena Klenova told the Standard about the poor service, which her son Michael uses to get to school,  saying it was often late and single-deckers were put on at busy times.

Mr Jenkin has written to Dave Hill, Essex County Council’s executive director for schools about the issue.

“I am aware that these services have worsened in recent months,” he said. “I am particularly concerned by reports of children being left waiting at stops and, in some instances, lessons being missed."
