A PROJECT to create a new path and entrance to a popular village playing field is set to start this spring.
Lawford Parish Council chairman Alan Coley announced the date of the work at Monday’s full council meeting.
“All going well hopefully it will be March and it will take about two weeks.”
The total cost of the work, which will see a new path, new car park entrance and new gates for School Lane Playing Field, is £17,800.
But a grant of £14,000 came from Essex County Council’s Community Initiatives Fund.
