STUDENTS Samra Mayanja and Joe Wenden are pretty well travelled.

Joe, who is 17, has enjoyed holidays in the Maldives, Egypt, Dubai and the Bahamas while Samra, 18, has visited a variety of countries including Kenya, Tanzania and America.

But going to India to help out at an orphanage was a world away from anything they had experienced before.

The two were part of a group of 20 students and three staff who went to Tamil Nadu in southern India to work with the Russ Foundation.
