A KOREAN War veteran is stuck thousands of miles from his family after being banned from entering America for ten years over a visa dispute.

John Points, of Park Road, Harwich, has been put on a blacklist for a decade by American authorities after accidently overstaying his visa.

Mr Points, 80, had been visiting his daughter Jilly Miller in Florida in December 2012 on a three month visa. He returned to the UK in May last year after deciding to move to America permanently and be cared for with help from his family.

When Mr Points and Mrs Miller attempted to return to Florida in June with her daughter Lucy they were told Mr Points was banned from entering America for ten years.

Mrs Miller said: "I cannot understand – my father has never done anything wrong or anything to anybody."
