A NEW visitor centre for the Mayflower Ship build has been given a £2,500 boost.
Television screens will give visitors a view out on to the Mayflower Project yard, in George Street in Harwich, to watch work going on.
Harwich Town Council’s finance committee has unanimously agreed to make the £2,500 grant subject to council approval at its next meeting in March.
Robert Day, chairman of the committee, said: “Harwich Town Council is an enthusiastic supporter of the Mayflower Project and believes that this new visitor centre will enhance Historic Harwich’s tourism economy."
