CROOKS stole tools from car parked in Brightlingsea.
Thieves smashed the window of a white Austin Metro which was parked in Upper Road between 10pm on Saturday, February 8 and 10am on Sunday, February 9.
They stole grinding discs and several boxes of sanding discs, worth about £500.
PC Kevin Ward investigating officer, warned residents to secure theit cars and to make sure valuables are not left on show.
He added: "Opportunist thieves and as well as career criminals do not need an invitation to damage your property in order to steal. Anyone who saw this car being broken into should contact us.”
Anyone with information should contact officers at Harwich police station on 101.
