A PILOT garden waste collection project will be rolled out across parts of the Tendring district from May.
The two-year scheme will get under way in the Clacton area and will be extended to other parts of the district later in the year.
People living in the area will be offered the chance to take part in the new initiative, which will involve 25 fortnightly collections of garden rubbish from wheeled bins.
There will be an initial charge of £25 – to include the delivery of the wheeled bin – along with a £50 annual subscription.
The pilot scheme will cover about 19,000 homes and a review will take place after six months.
