MULTI-MILLION-pound plans to transform Mistley’s historic quayside are to be reconsidered after port operators threatened a judicial review.
Maltings firm Edme was given the go-ahead to bulldoze the old Thorn Quay warehouse and replace it with a new flagship development made up of 45 homes, offices and storage space in October last year.
But port operators TWL proposed a claim for judicial review if Tendring Council did not withdraw its decision.
Tendring Council planning officers dispute all the claims but have decided the planning committee will reconsider the application.
Tendring Council planning boss Carlo Guglielmi said: "The council could have just gone ahead with the application but to be absolutely transparent it was thought wise to put it back before members, so members themselves could assess their findings."
The application will be decided at a planning meeting tomorrow night.
