A LIBRARY refurbishment is set to cost £280,000.
Harwich Library in Kingsway will be shut between Saturday, March 8 and Monday, June 2 for repairs to the roof and ceiling.
An Essex County Council spokesmansaid: “These necessary works taking place to the Harwich Library are a priority that will benefit customers who use the service and employees who work in the building.
“There will be works to building structure as well as the electrical and mechanical systems which means, for health and safety reasons, the library will be required to close for a period during these works.
“The total cost of the work is estimated at £280,000 and has been competitively tendered to offer the best value for money.”
