A WOMAN in her sixties had her bag snatched in a street robbery.
The victim was walking in Hill Road, Dovercourt at approximately 10.30am on Sunday morning when a man approached her from behind and grabbed at her tapestry shopping bag.
In the struggle the woman fell over and the robber escaped with the bag which contained her purse and buss pass.
The woman suffered minor injuries as a result of the fall and was very shaken.
Police are reviewing CCTV from the nearby Iceland store where the victim had been shopping and performed an aerial search with the police helicopter.
The robber is described as being between 20 and 30 years old, 5ft 10ins tall and was wearing a red top and a black woollen hat.
