A TOWN’S swimming pool is set to receive an extra £200,000 as part of long-awaited plans for major refurbishment.
Tendring Council’s new leader Mick Page made the announcement that the additional cash would be given to the Dovercourt Swimming Pool last Friday.
It means there is now £900,000 in the pot for work Dovercourt.
The project will see new village- style changing rooms and the gym moved to the ground floor for disabled access. Mr Page said the council is now be in a position to place orders for works.
“I have a passion to deliver high quality services which are truly fit for the residents of Tendring,” he said.
