SHOCKED park wardens are struggling to cope with a lack of help to maintain a village playing field blighted by vandalism and fly-tipping.
The Parkeston Welfare Park is in desperate need of more volunteers after its recent attack, which left a swing broken and a host of dumped household waste.
The field and children's play area were given a £100,000 makeover in 2012 but have since fallen victim to vandals.
The committee which runs the park has dwindled and new blood is urgently needed.
Ramsey and Parkeston Parish Council will discuss the problems at its next meeting on March 20 and it is hoped that villagers will turn up to offer their services.
