A COMPANY which hopes to put a defibrillator in every school in Harwich has handed over the first device.
EPC UK based at Bramble Island has handed over the device to All Saints Primary in Great Oakley .
The company, which stores and disposes of explosives, raised money for charity Hand on Heart which aims to prevent the deaths of deaths of the 12 to 16 young people who die due to a sudden cardiac arrest each week.
Director of EPC, Darrell Howard, said: “We have been raising funds to put defibrillators in schools and so far have achieved two of these.
“Our intention is to put defibrillators in every school in the Harwich area starting with the one closest to us."
