MORE than a dozen stall-holders launched the first ever Brantham village market on Saturday.
There was a range of crafts and culinary treats for visitors to the market which was held in the Brantham Village Hall in New Village.
It is hoped it will become a regular event on the second Saturday of each month.
The event is the brainchild of Diana Blanchard who said the response from people in the village has been very encouraging.
The next could take place on April 12 and there could be room for more stalls.
Diane said: “I’d like to include a stall selling freshly baked bread and I think we have room to include a total of about 15 stalls altogether so if there are more people in the village who would like to get involved they would be very welcome.”
