A CHURCH has been given a major cash injection to make improvements to its building.

All Saints’ Church in Wrabness has been given £20,000 by the Essex Environment Trust to build a new servery and move the font, which is used for christenings.

The trust has revealed who will be getting a share of a £250,000 cash pot which is being used by community projects and for church repairs across the county.

The medieval church, which is thought to date back to 1110, saw its west section extended in 1908.

Liz Connah, parochial church council secretary, said: “It really is quite exciting and we hope to get the work done this year.”
