THE future of Parkeston’s troubled playing field has been thrown into doubt after the committee running it disbanded.

The village’s Welfare Park has recently fallen victim to vandals and flytipping.

Ramsey and Parkeston Parish Council has called the meeting, which will be held at the Parkeston Railway Club on April 5 from 10.30am to 12.00pm.

Councillor David Smith said: "The three remaining committee members feel they have done enough and new blood is needed.

“The meeting will hopefully discuss all the options and signal a way forward for this lovely park."
