A SUPERMARKET giant’s plans for to install a two-pump filling station at its Dovercourt store have been met with opposition.
Asda has proposed the installation of the self-service card-only pumps, which would allow four cars to be filled up at the same time, to its site on Main Road.
The potential pumps would be installed on the existing staff car park at the front of the store.
However Harwich Town Council has objected to the plans due to its close proximity to the Bobbits Hole nature reserve.
The vote was six in favour of objection and five against. There was one abstention.
