FRIENDS and family will reunite for a memorial charity football match to mark the tenth anniversary of the death of a teenage cancer victim.
Darren Hawkins died in March 2004, just weeks after being diagnosed with leukaemia. He was 17 years old.
The former Lawford Lads under-18s player lived in Cavendish Drive, in the village, and was training to be a plumber.
To mark the anniversary of his death, Steve Cone has organised a charity day at Lawford Football Club on May 31.
Anyone wishing to sponsor the day can e-mail stevegaffa14@hotmail.co.uk.
