A TRAINED songstress has set up a lunchtime choir for music fans to join.

Australian born singing teacher and soprano soloist Corrina Dolso has begun weekly sessions at Manningtree Methodist Church on South Street with styles from gospel and spiritual to contemporary and musicals on the sheets.

Ms Dolso, who is based in Lawford and runs a private singing practice and teaches in local schools, decided to start the club for people who are free during the day and went to get involved in singing.

“It is a nice opportunity for people to do something different and hopefully if we get enough interest then hopefully we will be able to organise concerts at the end of half terms and do a short performance,” she said.

All abilities are welcome to attend without audition – all you need is a love for singing.

Sessions cost £4 or £20 for six sessions per half term every Wednesday during term time between 1pm and 2pm.
