ROTARIANS are set to put their best feet forward again for a charity ramble.

The Mayflower Walk organised by the Rotary Club of Manningtree Stour Valley, sees participants stroll 14 miles from Harwich to Manningtree along the Essex Way.

Train operators Abellio Greater Anglia have also agreed to offer free travel on the line to those taking part in the event.

Club president David Willis said: “We are delighted Abellio Greater Anglia are once again offering our walkers free train travel down to the start of the walk in Harwich or back there afterwards for Harwich residents.

“This is extremely generous of them as a train ride on the line is a great experience in itself and helps to make this an even more enjoyable day out for everyone.

“All we need now is some glorious spring weather and lots of walkers to make the event a huge success once again this year.”
