Another ‘stupid’ decision: Mothers hit back at maternity unit closure
MUMS have spoken of their fury after hospital bosses closed the doors of Harwich Maternity Unit.
They turned out in force on Wednesday morning to protest against the closure.
Mum-of-six Helen Gardner, of Grange Road, Dovercourt, said people had come to expect the Colchester Hospital University NHS Foundation Trust to make "stupid" decisions.
She said: “It is terrible – what is the trust doing? Why don’t they just employ more midwives?"
She added: “Sadly we have come to expect this trust to make stupid, stupid decisions.”
