SPEED cameras and safety improvements at an accident blackspot will cost £750,000.
The Highways Agency is expected to start works to cut the speed limit on a notorious stretch of the A120 in April.
Works were originally due to start on March 3 but were delayed due to servere weather.
The improvements will create a reduced 50mph speed limit with average speed cameras between Hare Green, Pellens Corner and the Horsley Cross roundabout.
A spokesman for the Highways Agency said: “The total cost of the scheme including design, purchasing the equipment and construction will cost £740,000 - £750,000.”
Longer-term plans are to install a roundabout at Little Bentley, improving access on to the A120.
