Maternity unit closure: Closure is ‘dictatorial’, claims MP
THE sudden closure of Tendring's maternity units has been branded as “dictatorial”.
Harwich and North Essex MP Bernard Jenkin has said he is “extremely unhappy” with the town’s maternity unit being shut.
“It feels very dictatorial and without consultation,” he said.
“The trust says it is temporary and the service will reopen, but I can’t get any answer as to why they have suddenly decided to do this now."
