A BINGO hall set to transform Harwich’s economy has been given the go ahead.

Owner Mike Gibbons has been given permission by Tendring Council to convert the former snooker hall, in Kingsway, Dovercourt, into a bingo establishment.

The hall will be open from 10am to 11pm from Monday to Sunday.

Mr Gibbons said: “We are over moon. It is brilliant news for us and brilliant news for Harwich."

The grand opening will be on April 25.
