LUCKY friends and family got a special taster session of a new coffee shop which has opened today.

Oxley's Deli in Dovercourt High Street, which stocks global and regional ethically-sourced products, is expanding to space above the shop.

Last Wednesday owners Mary and David Oxley opened the doors of Upstairs at Oxley's for a trial run.

Mary said: "Marion Murrison officially opened it for us and told of when her father used to own it as a tailors.

"It was really charming."

An extra four staff have been taken on to help run the new coffee shop.
