NORTH Essex train users are being given a boost after operator Greater Anglia announced improvements to its weekend service.
The operator has reduced the amount of planned weekend engineering works, which requires bus replacement services.
Under the new plans, there are no more full days with bus replacements planned.
Andrew Goodrum, Greater Anglia’s Customer Service Director, said: “With no further planned bus replacement services at weekends for the rest of the year, our customers will experience less disruption and easier journeys on the mainline.
“This real benefit for passengers has been achieved by scheduling infrastructure works more innovatively, to put our customers’ needs first whilst also maintaining important improvements.”
Some short-term disruption is still planned on weekends. For more information, go to abelliogreateranglia.co.uk.
