RESIDENTS had to be evacuated from a flat after building inspectors found it was at risk of sudden collapse.
Emergency action had to be taken to make the building on Cliff Road, Dovercourt, safe after it was discovered to be at imminent risk of falling down.
Two people were immediately removed from a second floor flat and found temporary accommodation.
Contractors had removed chimney breasts leaving the building unsupported properly at basement, ground and first floor level at both the front and the back.
