PLANS to install a buoy to welcome visitors to Harwich have been submitted to Tendring Council.
Harwich Town Council wants to place the buoy near Gas House Creek to welcome people into the historic town.
The placing of the buoy is also being done to tie in with the 500th anniversary of Trinity House.
The buoy, which has been provided by Trinity House, is 3.5m wide and is 3.8m tall and weighs approximately 4.6 tonnes.
