EXHIBITS as part of an ambitious arts venture are set to be installed in the coming weeks ahead of the official launch event.

Journeyer, a joint project between Essex County Council and Glassball Digital Arts Media Collective, will see physical artworks around Harwich combined with a phone application to boost tourism in Harwich.

Among the works will be Morse code inscriptions at Harwich Green, Harwich Town Railway Station and Harwich Quay as well as conversations with residents immortalised on the streets.

Glassball artist Cora Glasser has loved working on the project and believes the end results will be spectacular.

“We have had a lovely time working in Harwich and it has been a pleasure collaborating with residents and volunteers to get their thoughts and ideas,” she said.

“All the artworks will be distinctive and come from research we have been doing and chats we have had with people in the area.

“The Morse code signs are going to link up the whole project and hopefully people arriving will be intrigued by them and want to explore."
