"UNACCEPTABLE" flytipping is spoiling towns and villages as irresponsible residents dump everything from sofas and beds to everyday houshold waste.

Residents in Dovercourt and Ramsey have both hit out at continued bouts of discarded rubbish.

In Victoria Street, Dovercourt a former pub car park has become a hotspot for flytipping with a bed, mattress, sofas and shards of wood dumped.

In Ramsey clothing, carboard boxes, wood, black bags and a saucepan have been left at Wash Corner, Wix Road in the village.

Then felt roofing and bags were left at the Ramsey Recreation Field in Wix Road.

Nick Turner, Tendring Council’s cabinet member for environment, encouraged residents to report flytippers by calling 01255 686749.
