Fears cemetery gates ‘are left unlocked overnight’
CONCERNED councillors have hit out after gates to a cemetery were left open.
Dovercourt cemetery is open to vehicles from 7.30am to 4pm Monday to Friday and 10am to 4.30pm on weekends and bank holidays.
But residents are concerned the cemetery is open throughout the night when the gates are not secured.
Nick Turner, TDC’s Cabinet Member for Environment and Coast Protection, thanked the residents for raising the issue and promised the situation would be monitored.
