ONE of the country’s hottest up and coming singers will be performing in Little Oakley his summer as part of a fundraising drive.
Blues sensation Jo Harman will be appearing with her band at the Memorial Club in Harwich Road on Saturday July 12.
The songstress who lists Janis Joplin, Grace Slick and Joni Mitchell as influences has been on the same bill as Van Morrison, Ronnie Wood, Mick Hucknall and Chris Rea at the Royal Albert Hall.
Her style includes nods to rock, soul, and gospel music to create an unforgettable show.
Club chairman Marcus Smith said: “This is an incredible scoop for a small village club like us.
“Jo Harman is an emerging start and we are going to be hearing a lot about this great young talent in the coming year.
“We are delighted she has agreed to the gig and are looking forward to what we know is going to be an exciting event.”
Tickets are available from the club or by calling 01255 880370 at £15.
