A NEW service for adults with diabetes has been launched.
Patients attended five events to give their feedback to help create the North East Essex Diabetes Service, which aims to provide an improvement in standards of care and higher levels of education about the disease.
Tendring Diabetes Forum chairman Alan Penney said: “The local events were a great opportunity for diabetes patients to have an input into how their service is shaped.
“Patient involvement is important and very much at the core of the service.”
A specialist team led by a consultant diabetologist will work alongside GPs and Anglian Community Enterprise at community venues in Harwich.
