FURIOUS skating rink bosses threatened to close the children's attraction after thieves ripped off three vital security cameras.
The Skating Rink in Lower Marine Parade in Dovercourt has to have the CCTV cameras on to open the facility as part of its insurance deal.
But on Wednesday volunteers from the Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes, which leases the site from Tendring Council, found all three on the roof had been taken.
John Brown, a volunteer, said: "The three cameras cost £500 and we can't open without them for insurance reasons.
"We nearly lost this facility in December and now this has happened.
"Enough is enough.
"It's soul destroying at the end of the day, there are only four of us doing it now as other people got fed up."
Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call Harwich Police on 101.
