RESIDENTS have supported new plans to transform a former school into homes.
Ramsey and Parkeston Parish Council called a public meeting to discuss the proposals, submitted to Tendring Council, which would see Ramsey School in Wix Road converted into two homes and five more built on its grounds.
Parish councillor David Smith said: “The meeting was not that well attended, but all those present were happy with the scheme. It was agreed it would be an advantage to the village and tidy up an unsightly site.”
The council agreed to support the application, with a request vehicles enter the site via Wash Corner on the A120, and not through the village.
