Town appears in Rough Guide to Essex
HARWICH has been included in a first ever Rough Guide to an English county.
Make the Most of the Discovery Coast gives an insider’s view on the best things to do on the Essex shoreline.
Chairman of Visit Essex George Kieffer said: “I am delighted Visit Essex and Rough Guide have worked in partnership to produce this unique and inspirational guide.
“You can wander around Harwich and imagine yourself in the days of Samuel Pepys, who was the local MP, or Christopher Martin who sailed the Mayflower to America.”
The guide is available for free by emailing tourism@essex.gov.uk.
