People prepare to vote in the European Elections
WITH the European Elections taking place on Thursday we spoke to people about whether they know who their current MEPs are or even how the voting system works?
Christine Simpson, 59, Harwich, said: “I don’t know who the MEPs are for our area, I think they need to spend more time in the town.
"I don’t think the voting system is very clear but I think it could be an important because of the issue of the referendum.”
Paul Newman, 56, of Parkeston, said: “I don’t know who the MEPs are and to be fair they need to introduce themselves. It is big time with the talk of a referendum.”
