GREEN-fingered youngsters have helped to spruce up a community garden for the summer.
Children from All Saints Primary in Dovercourt spent the day at the Peace Garden in Elizabeth Road.
Pat Burke, who helped set up the garden and organises the annual planting, said: "They dug up weeds and planted £50 worth of bedding plants.
"It's looking beautiful and the children really enjoyed themselves."
But Mrs Burke said there is now concern over how future planting will be funded as this year's event used the last of the resident association's pot of money.
There are also hopes to get seating in the garden so more people can stop and enjoy the space.
Anyone able to help is asked to call Pat Burke on 01255 552145.
