TENDRING’s place on the map of areas which will receive special recognition in a bid to boost economic growth has been confirmed.
The European Commission has given the go ahead for the Assisted Area Map for 2014 to 2020 which includes Harwich and Clacton.
Firms will now be able to apply for cash and tax breaks to create jobs and have a better chance of attracting Government and EU grants.
Mick Page, leader of Tendring Council said: “This is another milestone along the way and a very important one for us and those other areas in this country who are included on the map."
