SHOPPERS are being urged to support Manningtree’s historic market when it re-launches in the next few weeks.
The town’s 800-year-old midweek market has been temporarily stopped after traders pulled out when customer numbers fell.
Business bosses are now urging the public to come forward with their stall ideas or if they are interested in being on the market.
Chairman Jenine Collier said: “When it got to just three or four stalls I decided to take a step back, get some advice from some people who are more qualified than I am and stop it for a few weeks and start it again with more stalls."
She added: “I am open to any suggestions. I want people to get in contact with me, give ideas, get involved.”
