A BLAZE ripped through a Dovercourt home destroying the roof of the property and left two people homeless.
Firefighters rushed to the end of terrace house in Oakland Road shortly after 7.30pm on Tuesday.
They extinguished a fire on the first and ground floors by 9.40pm. But two hours later they returned to the scene after the roof caught alight gutting the upstairs of the home.
Next door neighbour Sarah Hart said: βIt could have been a lot worse β I thought my roof was just going to go up in flames.β
